Job Opportunity:  26 Tonne Driver

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join our transport team at our Rotherham depot.

1 Up Access is a leading supplier of powered access equipment, providing equipment and services to customers across the UK. We operate a modern fleet and are looking for a reliable, professional driver to help support our busy transport operation.

This position is specifically for our 26-tonne rigid truck, delivering and collecting access equipment from customer sites. You will be responsible for transporting equipment safely and securely, carrying out vehicle checks and providing a professional service to customers and site contacts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate our 26-tonne rigid truck

  • Deliver and collect access equipment from customer sites

  • Load, unload and secure equipment safely and correctly

  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects

  • Complete all required delivery and collection paperwork

  • Comply with driver hours, tachograph requirements and road transport regulations

  • Liaise with customers and site contacts during deliveries and collections

  • Represent 1 Up Access professionally at customer sites

  • Work closely with the transport team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly

Essential Requirements

  • Valid Class 2 HGV driving licence

  • Valid Driver CPC

  • Valid Tachograph Card

  • Experience driving a 26-tonne rigid vehicle

  • Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations

  • A reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach

  • Good communication and customer service skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience within the access equipment, plant hire or construction industries

  • Experience transporting plant or powered access equipment

  • IPAF certification, although training may be available for the right candidate
