What lead time do you need

  • Typical: Many machines are available same‑day or next‑day. For specialist spider lifts or long‑reach telehandlers allow 24–72 hours.

  • Tip: Book early for peak periods and large projects to secure the exact model and attachments.

Can I change or cancel my booking

  • Changes: Allowed subject to availability.

  • Cancellations: Standard cancellation terms apply; late cancellations may incur a fee. Details are in your hire agreement.

Delivery, site access and logistics

What delivery options do you offer

  • Kerbside drop, on‑site placement, or operator delivery and positioning. We confirm vehicle type (tail‑lift van, HIAB, low‑loader) when you book.

What site information do you need before delivery

  • Essential: site postcode, gate width, vehicle access, overhead restrictions, surface type, and any fragile floors or confined spaces.

  • If in doubt: request a pre‑hire site survey so we can recommend the safest delivery method.

Do you provide site surveys

  • Yes, for complex access, narrow routes, or sensitive surfaces we offer a site survey and written recommendation.

How do I choose platform length and width

  • Platform length: choose 1.8 m for tight spaces, 2.5 m for more workspace.

  • Width: single for narrow routes; double for two‑person tasks or extra tools/materials.

Safety, training and compliance

Do I need a trained operator

  • Yes for powered access and telehandlers unless you supply a certified operator. We can provide trained operators on request.

What paperwork comes with the hire

  • Every hire includes inspection records, user manuals, and pre‑hire checklists. LOLER/PUWER certificates are provided where applicable.

What site safety do you need to provide

  • A level set‑up area, clear overhead space, and any permits or traffic management details. Notify us of fragile floors or live services before delivery.

What PPE is required

  • PPE depends on the task; typical items include harnesses, hard hats, hi‑vis and safety boots. We advise per machine on booking.

Pricing, insurance and damage

How are hire charges calculated

  • Based on machine type, hire duration, delivery/collection, and any operator or attachments. Weekly and monthly rates available.

Do I need insurance

  • Hirers should hold appropriate public liability insurance. Optional damage waivers and operator hire are available to reduce liability.

What happens if equipment is damaged or breaks down

  • Report faults immediately. We provide phone support, rapid response and replacement equipment where possible. Damage from misuse may be charged.
