Job Opportunity: Class 2 HGV Driver
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our transport team at our Rotherham depot.
1 Up Access is a leading supplier of access equipment, providing high-quality solutions to customers across the UK. With a modern fleet and a growing transport operation, we are looking for a professional and reliable driver to join our team.
This role will be dedicated to operating our 16-tonne truck, delivering and collecting access equipment from customer sites. You will be responsible for ensuring equipment is transported safely and securely while providing a professional service to our customers and site contacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate the 16-tonne truck
- Deliver and collect access equipment from customer sites
- Load and secure access equipment safely and correctly
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Complete all required delivery and collection paperwork
- Ensure compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and vehicle safety regulations
- Liaise with customers and site contacts during deliveries and collections
- Represent 1 Up Access professionally at customer sites
- Work closely with the transport team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly
Essential Requirements
- Valid Class 2 HGV licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Tachograph Card
- Experience operating a 16-tonne truck is advantageous
- Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations
- Reliable and professional approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within the access, plant hire, or construction industries
- Experience transporting plant or access equipment
- IPAF certification, although training can be provided for the right candidate
