Job Opportunity: Class 2 HGV Driver – 16 Tonne DAF
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our transport team at our Rotherham depot.
This position is specifically for our 16-tonne DAF, delivering and collecting access equipment from customer sites across the UK.
You will be responsible for safely operating the vehicle, loading and securing access equipment correctly, and providing a professional service to our customers and site contacts.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate our 16-tonne DAF
- Deliver and collect access equipment from customer sites
- Load and secure access equipment safely and correctly
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Complete delivery and collection paperwork
- Ensure compliance with driver hours, tachograph and vehicle safety regulations
- Liaise with customers and site contacts during deliveries and collections
- Represent 1 Up Access professionally at customer sites
- Work closely with the transport team to ensure deliveries and collections run smoothly
Essential Requirements
- Valid Class 2 HGV licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Tachograph Card
- Experience driving a 16-tonne rigid truck
- Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations
- Reliable and professional approach
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within the access, plant hire or construction industries
- Experience transporting plant or access equipment
- IPAF certification, although training can be provided for the right candidate
